(The narrators are in a room at the beginning of
the stage. Behind them, a living room: an armchair, a sofa and one painting of
some ducks in a farm)
Narrator 1: Have you heard that Solveg is missing?
Narrator 2: Is that true? How that happened?
Narrator 1: Oh, she should have listened to her parents when
they told her not to talk with strangers…
Narrator 2 (scared): Witches again?
Narrator 1: Witches!
Narrator 1: Let´s see what happened….
(A girl is walking in the street and a woman
with an apple approaches her. The woman
is wearing gloves)
Woman: Hello, little one, are you hungry? I have this
delicious apple here for you.
Solveg: My father always tells me not to speak with strangers.
Women: That´s smart, but if you tell me your name we are
not strangers anymore and I can give you this green, juicy apple.
Solveg: …..ok, I´m Solveg.
Women (gives the apple to the girl and turn her face with
disgust) Here you are, I hope you like it.
Solveg: Yummy!
Women: See you soon, Solveg…
(One mother and one father enter the room and
sit on the armchair and sofa, the mother is knitting, the father reads the
newspaper, a new catches his attention)
Father: Oh no!
Mother: What happen, dear?
Father: Another missing child.
Mother: Oh, poor parents. That´s horrible.
(Solveg enters the room eating an apple)
Mother: Where did you take that apple, Solveg? It is not
time for them, yet.
Solveg: A really beautiful woman gave it to me, she was
charming, so beautiful and tall.
Father: What did we always tell you, Solveg? Never accept
anything from estrangers.
Solveg: But the apple is delicious and the women was so nice.
Mother: Listen to your father, Solveg! A child has gone
missing, and sure she also spoke with another estranger.
Solveg: But she was silly, I´m smart.
Father: Solveg….
Solveg: OK, dad…
(They left the room, lights went out and we can
hear someone screaming: Solveg!...)
(Lights on, we can see the father, the mother
and another girl in the living room)
Child: What happened?
Father: We went to bed last night and Solveg was in her room,
but this morning she was not there.
Mother: Another child…
Father: Oh, look! Is Solveg!
Mother, and child: Where?
Father (pointing to the painting of the ducks in
which now appears a little girl)
(All of them look around the room)
Mother: Where is she?
Father: Is there, in the painting.
(They all look into the painting)
(The mother and the father hugs each other)
Mother: Our poor Solveg…
Father: How did she end up there?
Child: (looking at the audience)
Witches…
