THEATRE PLAY

Gulliver is walking around Lilliput when he sees two Lilliputians throwing rubbish to the floor. He stops them.

Gulliver: Hey! Isn´t there any bin near?

Lilliputian 1: Any what?

Gulliver: Any bin. Don’t you know what a bin is?

Lilliputian 2: No I don’t

Gulliver: And do you know what recycling is?

Lilliputian 1: Recycling?

Gulliver: Can you see over there? There is a big dump there and trees and animals are dying because of the rubbish.

Lilliputian 2: It´s true!

Lilliputian 1: We have to tell the king!

They leave the place together and go to see the king.

Lilliputian 2: Your Majesty! We are killing the environment.

King: Why are you doing that?

Lilliputian 1: It is true, Your Highness. Gulliver has told us about recycling and taking care of the environment and he is right.

Lilliputian 2: Look over there, the plants are dying and the animals are leaving because there is a lot of rubbish.

King: Gulliver! Explain recycling to me, please.

Gulliver:  Of course, Your Majesty. By recycling to separate the rubbish and reuse it, you can put several containers for your people to throw the rubbish in them by colours. Let the people help us:

(Now looking at the audience)

What do we throw in the yellow/ blue/ green/ orange/ brown? (The audience answers)

King: (Surprised) And then we can reuse those things and, by that, taking care of our planet??

Lilliputians1 and 2: Yes we can!
