Phileas Fogg never misses a beat. He is punctual,
partial and more than a bit obsessed with time. Being a lonely lord in an old
mansion in London doesn’t seem to bother him, though. He has two passions: plan
the time for tea, and being right.
When a debate between his friends at the club happened
about how long it would take to travel around the world started, he stated that
it could be done in eighty days. Of course, his friends thought he was crazy.
It is 1872 after all. But Phileas bets on his idea
20.000 pounds (his entire fortune) that he can travel the world in 80 days. His
friends agree to the bet.
Meanwhile, a suspicious looking gentleman has robbed
the Bank of England. He looks like Phileas Fogg. Detective Fix, a police
officer is now on the castle to pursue and arrest Phileas Fog for burglary, but
he has to catch him first.
Phileas and his servant Passepartout leave that night
with detective Fix following them. As the adventures continue, they stop to
help an Indian princess in distress, and fog duels with an American colonel.
In order to be faster, Phileas uses all kinds of means
of transport: ships, trains, elephants, planes… Even though he is in a hurry,
Phileas stays calmed and tries to plan everything as best as he can. However,
he needs to move quickly because Fix is getting closer to him…
